Frequently asked questions
Can't find what you're looking for? See the how-to-use guide for a full walkthrough, or get in touch from the About page.
Do I need an account to read messages?
No. Anyone can browse every place and read its messages without registering. An account is only needed if you want to leave your own message.
Do I need an account to leave a message?
Yes — a quick, free registration with your name, email, and a password. We verify your email first, mainly to keep the community accountable and cut down on spam.
Is my email address shown publicly?
No. Only your display name (or "Anonymous" if you leave it blank) appears on your message. Your email address is never shown to other visitors.
How long does moderation take?
Every submission is reviewed by a moderator before it appears publicly. There's no fixed turnaround time, but the queue is checked regularly.
Why was my message rejected?
Moderators may reject messages that are spam, unrelated to the place, or against the site's guidelines. If yours was rejected, check "My messages" for the moderator's note explaining why — you're welcome to edit and resubmit it.
Can I edit or delete my message after submitting?
Yes, any time, from "My messages." Editing sends it back for another review before it's shown publicly again. You can also delete it entirely, which removes it for good.
Can I remove a photo I added by mistake?
Yes, from "My messages" — add a replacement photo first if the one you're removing is the only one left, since every message needs at least one photo.
What if I forget my password?
Use "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in page. We'll email you a link to set a new one.
Can I use the site in my own language?
Yes. Use the language switcher in the top bar to choose from the languages this site supports — your choice is remembered for next time.
Is this free? Do you sell my data?
The site is free to use, has no ads, and doesn't sell your data. See the Privacy Policy for full details on what's collected and why.
Can I report someone else's message?
Yes — open the message and tap "Report this message." It's flagged for a moderator to take another look at; the message stays visible unless they act on it.
Can I install this as an app on my phone?
Yes — use "Add to Home Screen" in your browser, or the install prompt on the home page, and it launches like any other app.
